Election and Annual Meeting
TEA will hold its Annual Meeting on December 5th in the Chinook King meeting rooms on the 7th floor from noon to 1:00 p.m. Members will vote for TEA President, Vice President and Secretary during the first 30 minutes of the meeting.
Dues are proposed to be increased from 0.4% to 0.5% to keep current with expenses; this will appear on the ballot along with officer elections.
TEA will provide a light lunch and refreshments for the meeting.
TEA Ballots for Officers will be handed out by your TEA Work Unit Representative on or before Wednesday, November 28.
Ballots may be dropped off in the ballot box in Roger Browne’s office up to one hour before the annual meeting.
WTD Accrued Leave
With the passing of the TEA Wastewater contract, WTD TEA members now have a one-time option in 2012 to move up to 40 hours of accrued leave. You can choose to move hours from your benefit time bank to your sick leave bank or visa-versa you can elect to take up to 40 hours of sick leave and move it to your benefit time bank.
Please complete the form and return it to Cindy Burch indicating what you would like to do. Send Cindy the form even if you do not want to make a transfer so that she will know your wishes. WTD expects the transfer to be completed by pay period ending November 23 and reflect your December 6 paycheck. Please send your response to Cindy Burch by noon Monday, November 26, 2012.
Another opportunity for a one-time transfer of 30-hours will occur during the first quarter of 2013. Members will be able to cash out 40 hours by April 1, 2013.
Sick Leave Donation Request
Jack Schultz is in need of sick leave donations. He has been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma and is scheduled for surgery on 9/26, with radiation treatments to follow.
COLA for the new WW and Transit Contracts will be seen on the December 6th paycheck. However, retroactive pay will not be received until after the end of 2012; The Transit retro date is 1/31/13
