1. Transit Arbitration Decision

The Arbiter has issued his decision for Transit's 4-year contract for 2015-2018. The decision was issued on October 23rd and TEA's attorney, Cline & Casillas, received a copy on Friday, October 27th.

The TEA Board met November 1 to review and discuss the arbitration decision with TEA's attorney Jim Cline. A summary of the arbitration decision has been posted on the TEA website along with the full text of the arbiter's decision (http://www.teaseattle.org/index_2017-10-02.php). A special meeting will be scheduled to discuss the ruling with members on Wed., 11/8 at noon in KSC 4-C.

The timing of the arbiter's decision has allowed King County Benefits to include TEA Transit members in the Open Enrollment process for 2018. An important difference, though, is that Transit members will need to use a paper enrollment form as opposed to online.

2. Special Meeting to discuss the Transit Arbitration Decision

A meeting has been scheduled to review/discuss/answer questions about the Arbitration ruling. The meeting will be held in Room 4-C of King Street Center, from noon to 1 pm on 11/8/2017. All TEA members are welcome to attend.

3. Next Monthly Meeting

The next monthly meeting will be held on November 15 in the 4th floor, conference room 4-C, noon-1PM.
