1. Transit Contract Negotiation Sessions open to members

The Transit Bargaining Team will meet with the County on June 5—9 and June 26—27. The arbitration will be held at The Summit Law Group, 315 Fifth Avenue South, Suite 1000, Seattle.

2. Requests for ESL or BT donations

Rebecca Singer is in need of donations.

3. Special committee reviewing projected revenue and expenses

Elizabeth Wright is leading a committee to evaluate TEA's projected revenue and expenditure trends. Members are Amir Moazzami, Jerry Williams, & Steve Foss.

4. VEBA

The TEA Board will have an open discussion on the topic of VEBA at the April 19 monthly meeting. We would like to hear members' thoughts on whether VEBA is a benefit that TEA should continue to assist the county in administering, and how the various VEBA options could be presented to retirement–eligible member of our three bargaining units, i.e., WW Staff, WW Supervisors, and Transit. Another topic is whether the VEBA vote should be held annually or only when retiring members of a bargaining unit express a desire to change status quo.

Please attend the monthly meeting and get your VEBA questions answered and provide us with your feedback.

Next Monthly Meeting

The next monthly meeting will be held April 19 in the 5th floor in the Harappa-Cloaca conference rooms, Noon—1PM.

Please contact Gillian if you have a specific agenda item you'd like to add.
