1. Council of Representatives Update

The Council of Representatives will host part two of the monthly training topic "Just Cause and Discipline" on Thursday, March 24, at noon in the 5th floor Cloaca/Harappa conference rooms.

Have you ever wondered what your rights are with respect to discipline? Have you seen your coworkers receive discipline and wonder if it was fair? What do you if your supervisor asks to meet with you and is vague about the purpose of the meeting; what questions are you entitled to ask; what are your rights? Know your rights to protect yourself and your coworkers, and ensure a fair and equitable work environment.
Prior to the Vice President election, a Candidate Forum will be held on Tuesday, March 8, at noon in room 4–D.

2. Board Vacancy

The TEA Board had received nominations for two candidates for the position of Vice President. The term will be approximately six months, from spring until fall, where the successful candidate will have the option to run for office again or end his/her term.

March 1 (week of) – Distribute ballots
March 16 – Monthly TEA meeting vote (Ballots due at 1PM)
March 18 – Election results posted

A Candidate Forum will be held on March 9 at noon in room 4–C.

3. Transit Bargaining Update

A mediation session was held on February 9. Please contact Jerry Williams, TEA Transit Bargaining Chair, for additional information or if you have questions.

4. Wastewater Bargaining Update

We intend to have the prospective rates on the 03/24/2016 paycheck and the back pay calculations completed on the 04/21/2016 paycheck. The compounded rate for the 2016 retro pay will be 4.3%.

5. Monthly Meeting

The Monthly Meeting will be held Wednesday, March 16, at noon in the 5th Floor Cloaca/Harappa conference room(s). Ballots are due to Hillary Schafer by 1PM. Ballots received after 1pm will not be counted.
