1. Wastewater Staff and Supervisors Cashout $$$$ and Leave Balances Transfers

Yes, it is confusing, but it's not too late to change your elections to put BT into SL to avoid the > 600 hour forfeit, or to boost up BT to be eligible for $ out.

Contact Alton Gaskill, WW Bargaining Chair, know if you have any questions.

Here is the latest from WW HR. Due to the difficulty of implementing the leave balance transfers, the following will be allowed:

There will be two dates to choose from for Option 4 or 5. You may now choose to transfer leave by PPE 3/25 or PPE 4/22. By choosing the later date, you will be able to transfer leave after the BT maximum carryover period. This allows staff to transfer SL to BT or vice versa, for example, and not need to rush to take those hours off.

Please reply to Alton Gaskill to choose Option 4 or 5 or change the date of your prior submittal for Option 4 or 5.

There is no change do the deadline for these options. (Work with Cindy)

WW HR had the original choices:

Choose from the following options:

Reply no later than 2/25. Option 1 or 2 will apply on pay period ending 2/26 on paycheck day 3/10.

Option 1
Transfer up to 40 hours of my accrued sick leave (SL) hours to benefit time (BT) bank.

Option 2:
Transfer up to 40 hours of my accrued BT to my SL bank.

Reply no later than 3/25. Option 3 will apply on pay period ending 3/25 on paycheck day 4/7.

Option 3:

Reply no later than 3/25. Option 4 or 5 can apply on pay period ending 3/25, paycheck date 4/7 OR 4/22 paycheck 5/5.

Option 4:

Option 5:
Transfer up to 40 hours of BT to my SL bank.

Details concerning SL or BT transfer:

  1. Use only whole hour increments.
  2. Maximum of 40 hours or the “available balance” with the accrual earned for the PPE are eligible.

Details concerning BT to cash eligibility:

  1. You can convert up to 40 hours to cash,as long as the hours converted to cash and time taken through PPE March 25, does not bring your BT balance below 480 hours.
  2. BT accruals earned through PPE March 25 are also eligible.
  3. Hours will be paid on the April 7 paycheck.

2. WW Staff and Supervisors COLA and RETRO COLA

Per WW HR, here are the revised timelines for the contract implementation. We intend to have the prospective rates on the 03/24/2016 paycheck and the back pay calculations completed on the 04/21/2016 paycheck. The compounded rate for the for 2015 retro will be 4.3%
