1. TEA Monthly Meeting

The November member meeting is scheduled for the third Wednesday, November 19, in the Cloaca Maxima and Harappa Rooms, KSC 5th Floor from 12-1pm. All members are welcome.

Please send agenda items to TEA President John Phillips or Secretary Hillary Schafer.

2. TEA Officer Elections

The TEA Annual Meeting was on October 15, 2014. TEA members voted for 3 Board positions — President, Vice President and Secretary.

The TEA Board will be asking the Council of Representatives to make recommendations for changes to the Ballot directions. The Board also encourages every voting member to follow the ballot directions closely, so that their vote may be identifiable and counted.

3. WW Bargaining Committee

The Wastewater Bargaining Committee will be meeting on December 2 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. in KSC 8-I. Please join us if you are interested in participating in Wastewater Bargaining Committee. I will try to send out invites to those who have been attending the meetings. Please let Wastewater Bargaining Chair Alton Gaskill know if you would like to be on the invite list. Wastewater has bargaining meetings with the Office of Labor Relations on December 16 and 18.

4. Council of Representatives

Council of Representatives Chair Don Marable, with the assistance of former Council of Representatives Chair Alton Gaskill, will be forwarding several initiatives through the TEA Council of Representatives. Don and Alton are asking the Representatives for ideas for 2015, with some ideas including membership survey, training, Representative recruitment, and new employee on-boarding, to name a few. Your ideas and participation are important.

If your work unit needs a Representative, or if your current Representative is looking for a break and you would like to participate, please contact Don Marable.

5. Transit Contract Negotiations

Negotiations

The most recent bargaining session with the county was on October 29, 2014. The county and TEA's legal representative are discussing moving toward mediation.

If you have any questions, please contact Transit's TEA Bargaining Chair, Elizabeth Wright.
