1. December Monthly Meeting - Cancelled

The December monthly meeting has been cancelled to allow TEA members more time to spend time with family and friends during the holiday season.

Monthly member meetings are generally scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month and will resume in January, 2014

2. Transit Contract Ratification Vote

On December 11, 2013, the Transit bargaining unit voted to not ratify the tentative agreement with King County for a one year roll over of the existing contract. The current Transit contract will expire on December 31, 2013 and the roll over would have extend the contract to December 31, 2014.

Of 53 eligible Transit voters, 48 ballots were returned (90%), and no ballots were disqualified. The vote results were:

Ratify – 17
Do not ratify - 31

The TEA Board thanks all TEA members that participated in the vote and the information sessions prior to the vote.

3. TEA Dues to hold steady

Based on the financial projections by TEA Treasurer Jerry Williams, there will be no need to raise TEA Dues for 2014.

4. Leave Donations Needed

Kate Kurtz, WW Biosolids Project Manager, is in need of leave donations. Please donate if you can.
