2. Bargaing updates

Wastewater Contracts

The bargaining committee met for both staff and supervisor successor contracts on the 12th of July. The previous supervisor's contract was introduced at Council June 13th and has since passed. Next scheduled meeting for bargaining is July 27th.

Transit contract

During the past four (4) months, the Transit Bargaining Team has met with the County for eight (8) bargaining sessions. Many of the contract articles have been "TA'd" (indicating a Tentative Agreement has been reached) and both sides have engaged in robust discussion on areas where there are remaining differences. In the last two (2) sessions, the parties have exchanged several "what-if" proposals in an attempt to bridge the gaps.

Unfortunately, we need to report to you that these efforts have not been successful, as the County has been reluctant to make any significant compromises. Based on these results, the Bargaining Team is preparing to file for mediation with the goal to have a mediator move the parties equally toward the middle.

3. Nominations for Board Officers

Nominating Committee

The TEA Board is requesting member volunteers to participate on the Nominating Committee. The role of the Nominating Committee is ensure the participation of a full slate of qualified candidates for each Board position that is open for election at the Annual Meeting.

Regular TEA Board Meetings are in KSC 4-G, 1st and 2nd Wed of each month.
TEA times are scheduled the week before the Monthly meeting with special editions as the need arises.
