1. December Monthly Meeting Cancelled

At the Monthly Meeting on November 28th a proposal was made to cancel the December Meeting.  The motion was approved by the members present. The next Monthly Meeting is scheduled for January 16, 2008.

3. Wastewater Contract Update

New Bargaining Team being formed for Wastewater Staff Contract Bargaining:  All Wastewater Staff Bargaining Unit members are encouraged to bring their issues and participate on the new Bargaining Committee.  Three Committee members will then be recommended to the Board for appointment to the Bargaining Team.  The Bargaining Team is the group that meets directly with the County’s representative during contract bargaining.  Please contact Eric Davison if interested in serving on the Bargaining Committee or the Bargaining Team.  The Bargaining Committee will meet in January 2008 when TEA notifies the County of its Intent to Bargain the next contract.

4. Transit Contract Update

The arbitration for the Transit Staff contract has been scheduled.  Arbitrator Michael Beck has scheduled the week of April 14-18 for the hearing.  The Transit arbitration team is working with TEA’s attorney Jim Cline to prepare for the arbitration hearing.
