WTD Contract Negotiations

TEA, WTD Management and the King County's negotiator met for a contract negotiation session on December 15th. Compensation remains the largest of the unsettled issues, although several wage-related issues are also unresolved. TEA continues to make compelling arguments that our wage proposal is justified by current salary surveys; necessary to maintain a high-performance workforce; to attract and retain high skilled employees; to improve morale and satisfy the Balanced Scorecard.

WTD Management continues to keep their heads low; they are failing to support their employees at this critical point in contract negotiations. WTD Management is missing this opportunity for leadership and courage. They are letting you down.

The next negotiation session is scheduled for December 18th. The next Mediation session is scheduled for January 13th.

Transit Contract Arbitration

The Transit Negotiation team meets regularly with our attorney to prepare for Arbitration.

The Arbitrator has been selected and Arbitration dates have been set: March 2-5, March 8, and April 26-30.
