Greetings, TEA Members,
I just returned from my travels today so my apologies that this message is delayed.
Thank you to everyone who could attend our annual meeting for lunch and to those who assisted with the food coordination and cleanup.
The election results have been certified and are as follows:
Transit Bargaining Chair:
Council of Representatives Chair:
Wastewater Bargaining Chair:
Thank You Candidates, for your willingness to take on leadership roles in our union.
Special thanks to our TEA members, Francene McCormick, Linda Azar, Sarah Woodcock and Joe Rye for assisting in the ballot counting.
I also would like to give a very special thank you to our outgoing TEA officers: Treasurer, Sally Turner, Council of Representatives Chair, Ken Madden, and Transit Bargaining Chair, Jerry Williams. These individuals have a wealth of knowledge about labor issues and we are deeply in their debt for their years of dedication and service to TEA. I have relied on Sally, Ken, and Jerry for their input on countless union issues and will continue to rely on them in the future for transitioning their roles to the new officers, continued participation in Transit Bargaining, Grievance Committee, and other feedback on TEA’s performance.
Thank you again, Sally, Ken, and Jerry for a job well done and commitment to TEA.
All members: Please let me know if you have any questions or thoughts about TEA or other union matters. I rely on, and value, feedback and ideas from TEA members. Many members have contacted me about labor issues that concern them. My hope is that TEA continues to be a union where every full member has a voice and has access to a Board Member to get their questions answered or their interests addressed. Thank you for your continued support.
