TEA VEBA Vote Results
Hillary Schafer, Don Marable, and Jerry Williams verified and counted all ballots returned by members in good standing on 6/17/15. Retirement eligibility for Wastewater Staff was verified and those ballots were tallied again on 6/18/15 by Hillary Schafer and Alton Gaskill.
The Transit Bargaining Unit votes have been verified and tallied. Of the 14 ballots returned by retirement-eligible members in good standing, 4 voted yes and 10 voted no to convert 35% of Sick Leave cashout on retirement into the HRA-VEBA account; 1 voted yes and 13 voted no to convert 50% of vacation cashout on retirement into the HRA-VEBA account.
The Wastewater Supervisors Bargaining Unit votes have been verified and tallied. Of the 4 ballots returned by retirement-eligible members in good standing, 3 voted yes and 1 voted no to convert 35% of Sick Leave cashout on retirement into the HRA-VEBA account; 3 voted yes and 1 voted no to convert 50% of vacation cashout on retirement into the HRA-VEBA account.
