1. WW Staff Contract Vote - Contract Ratified

The ratification vote for the WW Staff Contract was held today between 12-1pm. Volunteers Jan Knudson and Wyatt Wood assisted in the ballot count. The certified results are as follows:

VOTE RESULTS:

    Number of WW members in Staff Bargaining Unit   220

    Number of WW Staff ballots received             164

    Number of Ballots in favor of ratification      144

    Number of Ballots against ratification           20

President Roger Browne will notify King County of the vote results and encourage the King County Council to implement the contract as soon as possible.

Background: Ballots for the WW Staff contract ratification vote were distributed on September 23, 2009. Terms of the tentative contract were reviewed with members at meetings on September 16, September 21 and September 29. Ballots were due by September 29th at 1pm.

The ratification vote for the WW Staff Contract was held today between 12-1pm. Volunteers Jan Knudson and Wyatt Wood assisted in counting the ballots and certified the count. Ken Madden, Secretary
