NOTE: This was the largest turnout of voters for a TEA Board election in TEA history (256). The candidates should be very proud that they brought the issues to the table that motivated members to participate. Congratulations to all who participated in this vote!


2.  WW Staff Contract Vote

WASTEWATER STAFF CONTRACT:

Negotiations for the Wastewater Staff Contract have been completed. A ratification vote is scheduled for September 29, 2009. A copy of the tentative contract, along with a summary of the major changes from the previous contract, is on the TEA website (www.teaseattle.org).

There will be a meeting September 21 at noon in the 8th floor conference room, to answer questions about Benefit Time (BT) and any other issues relating to the tentative WW Staff contract.


3.  WW Supervisors Contract Update

Negotiations for the 2008-2010 contract are on hold pending the resolution of TEA's Furlough ULP (Unfair Labor Practice complaint) and a question of representation filed by the Teamsters.


4.  Transit Contract Update

Negotiations for the 2008-2010 contract are on hold pending the resolution of TEA's Furlough ULP (Unfair Labor Practice complaint) and a question of representation filed by the Teamsters.


5.  Advertisements

WW Productivity - We need TEA volunteers from Wastewater to participate in the Productivity effort. There are 2-3 positions open. Please contact Roger Brown @ 684-1950 if you are interested.
