Results of Vote by Wastewater TEA Employees Vote on County's Medical Benefits Proposal

TEA Wastewater employees were asked to vote today on whether or not to support the County's proposed medical benefit plan as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding.  The MOU also gives TEA Wastewater Employees a one-time credit of 5 days of vacation (to be used by the end of 2003) upon signing the agreement.
The results are as follows:
(145 Total Votes including proxies)
Yes = 108 votes
No = 36 votes
Abstain = 1 vote
Thanks to the huge turnout by wastewater and transit TEA members - 76 total.

Ken Madden as President of TEA will inform King County of today's affirming vote and will be signing the MOU.  Ron Weigelt, King County's Labor Negotiator will sign for King County.
