News from previous Special Meeting, December 4

At the December 4th TEA Special Meeting the board voted unanimously to establish the position of Chairman of the Council of Representatives. The position will entail identifying Representatives and establishing the Council in the position of communications described in the bylaws. The person in the position will attend all board meetings in an advisory capacity. The position will be an acting appointment until the Council elects it’s own chair. Patty Overby was appointed to be the first in this position.

The President announced that our lawyer, Jim Cline, will be presenting training for the Council of Representatives and TEA Board of Directors in the near future. The training will include communications and basic labor organization issues. Jim is developing a schedule and syllabus. Watch this space for more information.
