Members are aware that the Final Arbitration decision was declared in late January, and Jim Cline led a presentation on the arbitrator's finding at a meeting for members Feb. 1st. Current estimates by Transit management are that the new wage rates will be shown on the first March paycheck stubs, with the retro wages and $1,200 bonus (the latter if you worked in Design and Construction when the contract is signed) to be paid out on the following paycheck.
The Grievance Committee has developed a flow chart of the grievance process as well as grievance forms for employees to fill out if they want to file a grievance. To obtain a copy of either of these documents, please contact Roger Browne, Chair of the Grievance Committee. Note also this process will be discussed at the February general meeting.
The following TEA employee is in need of donated sick or vacation leave. Your help would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in helping these individuals, please check with your work groups' administrative staff.
