1. Transit Arbitration Panel Decision Issued
In case you missed the last TEA Times, the Hearings Arbitrator issued the “Arbitration Panel’s Opinion and Award” which is his decision on the labor contract agreement for members of the Transit Bargaining Unit although the agreement has not yet been signed. The bargaining briefs, the decision document, and a summary of the decision are all available on the TEA website. A special meeting with Board members, the TEA Bargaining Team, and TEA Counsel was held on November 8th to discuss the wage and benefit details of the decision.
2. Election Issues Discussion scheduled for November 15th Regular Meeting
Concerns about specific election procedures were expressed by several members at the Board meeting held on October 11th. The Board agreed to follow up on these concerns at the November 15th Regular Meeting.
3. Dues Review Committee
Sally Turner, Treasurer since September, intends to convene a committee soon to review the formula for calculating dues.
4. Next Regular Meeting
The next regular meeting will be held on November 15th on the 4th floor, conference room 4-C, noon–1PM. Please contact Gillian if you have a specific agenda item you’d like to add.
